Alleviating Menopause Anxiety

J.D.Dean

Menopause anxiety is real for many women who reach the menopausal stage of their life. Without the associated symptoms of menopause it's a stage of their lives that they would probably welcome. But the simple fact is that many are just not prepared to take on the challenge of menopause preferring instead to see what it brings before preparing for the fact that at some stage, they will have to meet it's challenges.

Hot flashes, mood swings, fatigue and associated symptoms causes both emotional and physical stress and of course, menopause anxiety.

So what Do You Do When Menopause Arrives?

The onset of menopause will usually mean lowering levels of hormones in the blood; which in turn will mean hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety attacks, wild mood swings, and even depression bouts. All these symptoms come for one reason – hormone imbalance.

As the ovaries are shutting down they will produce less and less estrogen and progesterone which brings about a host of unpleasant symptoms. Women all over the worlds are well aware of the triggers; however they will deny it consciously for at least one year before they accept to even think of it as pre-menopausal.

Menopause Anxiety Solutions

There are a lot of remedies out there in the world which will help you navigate the difficult period between the pre-menopause and post menopause. However, there are a few symptoms that are best controlled with natural therapies while some are better off with synthetic medicines.

It is very important that you will be and stay in touch with a good medical practitioner during this time. Menopause anxiety can be quite complex and may not immediately answer to treatment – more so if you are not accepting the HRT. The good news is that the herbal remedies are almost 100 per cent effective, though a bit slower than the HRT. Many doctors advise women to start on HRT and slowly replace it with the natural methods, hence giving you the best of both the worlds.

Menopause anxiety doesn't have to cripple your lifestyle. It can be controlled by herbal treatment but if you are on any sort of herbal and dietry program, follow the program to the letter. Avoiding habits such as smoking and drinking high levels of alcohol is encouraged along with avoiding high fat foods. It's a plan that if you stick with it, will produce excellent results and more importantly, make menopause anxiety just a distant memory.
